Description
The lesser yellowlegs is a medium sized shorebird with long bright yellow legs and a long neck and bill. It can be seen wading through shallow wetlands to hunt down its prey, consisting of small fish and insects. It is a brown and white bird with streaking on its breast. This particular bird was photographed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the fall.
