This beautiful great grey owl was photographed in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in the winter, during a year when large numbers of these owls had migrated south in search of food. They are the largest owl species with round heads without ear tufts, piercing yellow eyes, gray brown and white feathers, and a what looks like a bow tie on their necks.
