The iconic Jacques Cartier Bridge in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is a famous landmark overlooking the Saint Lawrence River. In 2017, to celebrate both Canada's 150th birthday and Montreal's 375th, an illumination project called Living Connections was installed. The bridge is illuminated every night, with its colours and intensity varying with the changing seasons and pulse of Montreal life. Its use of big data to influence the display of its exterior LED lighting system makes it the first connected bridge in the world. This panoramic photograph shows the bridge lit up in green, blue, purple, orange, and yellow, with its colors reflecting in the water of the St. Lawrence River.
