Description
This Northern Gannet (Morus Bassanus) collects nesting materials in its Bonaventure Island, Gaspe colony. Gannets mate for life and build a nest made of grass, seaweed, dirt, feathers, and sometimes discarded household objects held together by droppings. They typically raise one chick per year, with the male being the primary nest builder and both sexes incubating the egg. Nests are often reused year after year, with new materials being added.
